Khet Bachao Abhiyan awareness programme was organised by the ICAR AP Centre and KVK West Siang, Basar incolloboration with District Agriculture Officer (DAO), Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh at Ngomdir Village, Aalo East under West Siang District on 4th June, 2026.
        The programme was attended by 27 farmers from Nyomdir villages along with Zila Parisad Member, 3 nos. of GPC, GB and the expert team constituted Dr. B.K.D Bora, Senior Scientist and Dr. Patu Khate from ICAR AP Centre, Basar and Dr. Manoj Kumar, Senior Scientist and Head, ICAR-KVK West Siang.
        During the programme, Dr. Manoj Kumar explained about the balance use of fertilizers for better crop production. He also explained about the natural farming for better soil health, climate resilient crop like millet cultivation, short duration crop like pulses and crop diversification in changing climate scenario. Dr. B.K.D Bora highlighted about the organic milk and meat production through improved breed which suited for changing climate. Dr. Patu Khate explained about the seed production of oilseeds and pulses for better income of the farmers.
        State officials Ms. Biny Lollenexplained the IFS model and also explained about the insect pest management organically for fetch the higher income. The farmers showed keen interest and actively participated, contributing to the overall success of the event.
